Kaimana Beach, more toilet troubles and a cool, Christmas party on Waialae Iki

Hi All~ Mele Kalikimaka from Hawaii!  Had a fun day at Kaimana Beach, then our toilet exploded again for the 5th time, plumbers are working on it and I got EVEN more comedy material from the whole, funny situation - the shit jokes are-a-flyin' these days! Only one more week of work and I have two weeks off, very excited to go North shore, do some hiking, eat out and do all the things we have not had time for during hubby's busy, fall semester! Went to an awesome Christmas party at a friend's house last sat. where much music was played, people brought awesome food and there were real-life elves~ ALOHA! Also made a hand-painted flyer for our new, weekly comedy gig at Indigo Restaurant in Downtown Honolulu, check it out.

What a bright, clear day at the beach!

 The party people!

 A fabulous tree

Hubby Joe got back from work just in time to jam with everyone on cello!

Christmastime in Hawaii and a new abstract painting

Christmastime in Hawaii is a great time - it's also weird!  I grew up in Pennsylvania and I can't help but chuckle at those old songs "Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow!" and "Chestnuts roasting on an open fire..." because it's still 80 degrees here every day and we go to the beach just like the rest of the year. Also, ninety percent of the time, it's a sunny day!  Island folks decorate just like the rest of the country even though most of us have no fireplace and the world is as green as ever. Lucky we live hawaii~

Fabulous sunsets, December beach and the end of comedy night at the Dragon Upstairs

Ahhhh, wintertime in Hawaii...bright sunny, muggy days which make for awesome sunsets. Comedy at the Dragon Upstairs has been cancelled due to our growing numbers, an awesome thing!  We will resume awesome comedy shows at Indigo Restaurant in their Opium den room starting Dec. 14th, 2011 at 8 pm. They have dinner and pupus, here is their website: http://www.indigo-hawaii.com/~ so excited! Stay tuned for more comedy comin' your way, and a brand-new abstract watercolor is also in the works. I can't say enough good things about Blick's Neocolor II watercolor crayons, I just ordered some more colors. They respond to water in such an awesome way!

Our Christmas tree (a Norfolk pine that lives in a pot outside the rest of the year), an excellent book and a painting-in-progress. In two weeks, I will have two weeks' staycation~Hawaii no ka oi!

1st meeting of FCOH, BIGGEST Comedy crowd at the Dragon, Purple Jellyfish and a new abstract watercolor!

Hi All! Lots has been happening lately: We had the 1st physical meeting of the Female Comics of Hawaii group at the Hau Tree Lanai restaurant on 11/20/11 and have a bigger meeting scheduled for next month and all kinds of cool plans in the works, stay tuned! The biggest crowd yet showed up at the Dragon Upstairs on Wed., 11/23/11 and the comics and I rocked the house, there was 70 people at the height of the night due to two of the comics leaving the island. Joe and I ate Thanksgiving lunch at his parents in Kaimuki, then walked/biked to the beach and found an interesting, purple jellyfish swimming around, we weren't sure what it was, actually!

First meeting of the Female Comics of Hawaii, Kristen Sprague and Erika Swartzkopf

Biggest crowd at the Dragon upstairs yet~ 70 people at the height of the night! SO much fun

My Joe got to come out and see me perform!

Comic, Grant Uchida wowed the crowd with his Thanksgiving song!

Friends Eli and Tina came out to see me perform

Getting ready to go up on stage!

My set - Quite a challenge with loud, military guys in the audience but I did all right

The host with the most, Anthony Nigrelli

The mysterious, purple Jellyfish we found (not sure if it even WAS a jellyfish, lol). That's why I LOVE snorkeling, you never know what you'll find next.
