Comedy, Beach and a new Abstract watercolor painting

Hope everyone out there had a fabulous weekend! I went to the beach (check out the awesome, trippy cloud pictures), went to the Kaleo Pilanca Comedy show at the Honolulu Design Center - Kaleo is just SO talented! I had seen him perform about a month ago and this show was similar but different at the same time. The guy is so creative and can make anything funny - so many props, so little time! I also managed to finish my new abstract watercolor, a very productive and fun weekend~

Bits of my Weekend

Fabulous weekend, caught an awesome sunset Friday night at Kaimana Beach and more beach shots from Sunday. Started a new abstract (stay tuned, it should emerge later this week) and gearing up for my 1st comedy showcase this Wednesday at the Dragon Upstairs, 8 pm. I am doing some stand-up, opening for an improv group.

Slayin' the Dragon

Open mic night was this past Wed 10-19-11 at the Dragon Upstairs in Chinatown in downtown Honolulu, and everyone was SO awesome! It was standing-room only, so packed with comics and fans. So much talent in that room, the Dragon really is the best place to see comedy around here~ ALOHA!

A Wonderful Weekend, Comedy and a new Abstract Painting!

Have you ever had have such a wonderful weekend that the following Monday is so inevitably a let-down? Thursday night I went out and saw my friend's band, the Honolulu Lounge Lizards, play at the Outrigger Reef on the beach's pool bar, the Kanikapila Grill and they were just fabulous! Friday I had off from work and had a glorious beach day at Kaimana beach. Saturday night, I participated in ComedyHawaii.com's Liv Mic Podcast and Open Mike at King's Pub in Waikiki and did a great interview and set (comedy pics by Jahnys Moody)~

RIP Steve

A new Painting and a great art quote

"The fine art of painting, which is the bastard of alchemy, always has been always will be, a game. The rules of the game are quite simple: in a given arena, on as many psychic fronts as the talent allows, one must visually describe, the center of the meaning of existence"
